LLUIS DUQUE
I am an SSI Instructor Trainer (#86386) and the founder of Scuba School Lanzarote. My passion for the ocean and its wonders began 25 years ago on my very first dive. That passion eventually turned into my profession, and ever since, I have had the privilege of guiding hundreds of people through their first underwater experiences, as well as training instructors and divemasters who now teach all over the world.
For me, diving goes far beyond technique or certifications: it is about trust, reconnecting with nature, and feeling completely secure beneath the surface. In diving, safety, peace of mind, and enjoyment underwater do not happen by chance; they are the direct result of proper training.
My aim is not simply to hand you a qualification, but to shape you into a competent diver or instructor. I prefer a friendly teaching, one-to-one approach at your own pace, while instilling a deep respect for the sea. If you are ready to take the plunge—whether to discover diving for the first time, improve your skills, or turn your passion into a career—I would love to accompany you and show you the hidden magic of our waters.
ANDREA LÓPEZ
I have been diving since 2016 and, for the past four years, I have worked professionally as an SSI Dive Master Instructor (#108320), turning what began as a deep fascination with the ocean into my way of life. For me, diving is much more than a technical activity: it is a space to connect with marine life based on respect, care, and absolute admiration.
I love passing on that same passion to everyone who dives with me, ensuring you take away not only the knowledge needed to dive with total safety, but also a new perspective to understand, appreciate, and protect everything you see beneath the surface.
I prefer a friendly, approachable teaching style, adapting to your pace and always prioritising a calm and mindful experience. If you want to take the plunge to discover the marine world or continue growing underwater with someone who shares your love for the ocean, I will be delighted to accompany you on this adventure.
ANDREA LÓPEZ
Llevo buceando desde el 2016 y desde hace 4 años me dedico profesionalmente a esto como Dive Master Instructor (#108320), transformando lo que empezó como una profunda fascinación por el océano en mi forma de vida. Para mí, el buceo es mucho más que una actividad técnica: es un espacio para conectar con la vida marina desde el respeto, el cuidado y la admiración absoluta.
Me encanta contagiar esa misma pasión a cada persona que se sumerge conmigo, buscando que no solo te lleves los conocimientos necesarios para bucear con total seguridad, sino también una nueva perspectiva para entender, valorar y proteger todo lo que ves bajo el agua.
Me gusta enseñar de forma cercana, adaptándome a tu ritmo y priorizando siempre una experiencia tranquila y consciente. Si quieres dar el paso para descubrir el mundo marino o seguir creciendo bajo el agua con alguien que comparte tu mismo amor por el océano, estaré encantada de acompañarte en esta aventura.

Ideally located in Costa Teguise, our facilities are situated within the Barceló Active Resort (Av. Del Mar, 5). Important! You do not need to be a hotel guest to enjoy all our activities, courses, and services; our doors are open to all divers and visitors to the island.
We offer the complete SSI recreational diving pathway: from your introductory dive (Try Scuba), beginner courses (Open Water Diver), advanced courses (Advanced Open Water Diver), and specialities (Deep, Nitrox, Rescue, etc.).
If you wish to take the step and turn recreational diving into your profession, find out more about our professional pathway—ranging from Divemaster all the way to SSI Instructor or Assistant Instructor Trainer training—led by our SSI Instructor Trainer, Lluis Duque.

THE ANGELSHARK (SQUATINA SQUATINA)
Submerging yourself in our waters gives you the privilege of crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelshark (Squatina squatina), a master of camouflage that has chosen this corner of the ocean as its home.
This fascinating shark, now critically endangered, turns every dive into an unforgettable experience filled with scientific wonder.
Being able to spot it not only enriches our underwater adventure, but also reminds us of the vital importance of protecting this fragile marine sanctuary and the living jewel that inhabits our seabed.
